There are few things in life more disheartening that, due to economic circumstances, kids can’t reach their full potential. We all say we’re equal, but the truth is we’re not. There are kids in our community that simply do not have families that have an extra $75 to buy what they need for school. It’s very sad and disheartening that some in our community do not have these very basic necessities.
Kona Impact is happy to be a small part of the solution. This year we purchased 21 backpacks and over $1000 of pens, folders, paper, binders and colored pencils to fill them. We also bought close to a hundred bottles of hand sanitizer, too. This, we know, is only a drop in the bucket, but it’s something.
