We make a lot of signs at Kona Impact, from indoor foam core signs for events and expositions to banners for temporary outside signs. We also make a lot of signs for long-term outdoor use with solid substrates and extra-durable materials. Many of our outdoor signs have resisted the elements for years and look just as good as the day they were installed.
Occasionally, we get to make a sign that breaks convention. Such was the case for a surfboard sign we recently completed for Oshima Surf in Kainaliu. They have an excellent location with lots of drive-by traffic, but their street visibility was poor. They knew they needed something to catch the eyes of all the people driving past, so it was a natural fit to make a sign from an old surfboard.
Here is a picture of the surfboard sign outside of the Kona Impact office. Next time you’re in Kainaliu, stop by Oshima Surf and check out their sign. Better yet, stop by the store and pick up some island wear!
